My computer just crashed & when I came back on, everything looked OK - but then I found that I have lost all my footnotes. Is there any way of retrieving them?

has anyone had trouble with a pop-up that tells you your computer has critical errors and tries to download?

I keep getting a pop-up that tells me my computer has critical errors and click next to run a scan then it kicks me off whatever site i am on and takes me to a place called system.scanner and then tries to download something called winproantivirus. does anyone know how to get rid of this I have several anti-virus, spyware, and pop-up blocker programs but they dont seem to affect this pop-up.

I always close the window but then it takes whatever site I am on and immediately kicks me off and diverts it to a site called system. scanner and then it goes to winantivirus and tells me to download it. how do I get this to stop none of my security seems to affect it and I am tired of getting kicked off the internet by this thing. does anyone know how to stop it.

Hi, im looking to add asides onto my wordpress installation. Its been upgraded and i cant change it back.Im trying to add asides now, but they just dont work.Iv also tried the Codex solution(from photomatt i believe) but its for older Wp's, not for the 2.0.3 because it just doesnt have the single line of the "date call" thats mentioned in that tutorial. Iv also tried a few plugins which didnt work out :(

I have a trojan that is supposed to be in system volume restore and someone told me to go to registry edit. I am not familiar with using it, and have been told I could really mess up my system if I don't know what I am doing. Any ideas how I might remove the trojan, or how to become proficient in usung the registry edit?

i think i got it all mixed up...what i was really asking was the driver for the motherboard of my fujitsu CE7/85F computer...from the pc's site i learned that it has an AMD Duron 850 MHz motherboard, which i don't have the driver diskette for it...i think that what makes some programs fail from working properly...would some of you be an angel and help me find the right driver for it...i'm really at my wits' end...any help would be very much appreciated..anyway, thanks "cristine" and "it's me" for the prompt response...

I'm looking to buy a laptop at a fairly decent price. I'm a college student, so I'm poor. However, I can save up if necessary. I'll be using it for the internet, word processing, gaming, photos, and music. My present desktop is this: Hewlett Packard-Pavilion AMD Athlon(tm) XP 3000+, 2.10 GHz, 448 MB of RAM, 60 GB. I'm looking for something similar, but my desktop can't play some of the games that I want, still. I'm pretty computer illiterate, so I don't know what the best deals are. Any help is appreciated.
