im trying to put NOW() as the default value for the datetime field type ="datetime" but im getting this error

ALTER TABLE `members` ADD `datetime` DATETIME DEFAULT 'NOW()' NOT NULL

i have 3 cpus in my home with verizon isp . i called them and stupid tech support said they couldnt help me because my wireless router is net gear and they not support net gear ,"youll have to get one of ours for it to work ! i couldnt believe what i was hearing .one is a dest top and the 2 others are lap tops which all run just fine now has is . my question is if i disconnected my desk top and just ran the 2 lap tops on the wirrless router would it work ? or does the wirless router need to be phyisclly connected to a dest top to perform right ? or would it still work just fine with out it ? thanks folks im a tech noob here :)

I need to view mine. They were created in Word and I do not have any software on my computer besides my Internet Explorer and email (if that's software). I downloaded the beta of Windows Vista 64 bit edition. I was on the Microsoft site and noticed that Vista has a Windows ReadyBoost feature. Here's what their site says about it:

It looks like you can plug any thumb drive into a USB port on your pc and your pc can use it as additional RAM memory. It seems like this could be an inexpensive way to boost your system performance. Anyone tried it and noticed a difference?
