In a lot of America TV show and movies, they never seam to wear seatbelts. In Australia it is law we must wear a seat belt or you get fined and points taken off you.

this woman (in her 50's) was too lazy to park it properly. She parked like a parallel on the right side of my car. When I backed my car and did not see her left rear bumper crossed my zone, my right rear bumped into her left rear metal bumper. My 06 Lexus' bumper totally messed up on the right. Her pickup was a 1985 Toyota, and it sustained a minor scratch on the metal bumper. I could not see her pickup's bumper had blocked my right bumper on the rear-view mirror, on the passenger's side. Her pickup was parked and unoccupied when I bumped. Had she parked her car properly in the marked diagonal lines like everyone, this accident wouldn't have happened. She verbally admitted her fault and was willing to pay for my damage. The insurance company of each side is investigating. Could you please tell me who is at fault in this accident? Thank you!!

Let's face it, as we get older our reflexes slow down and we tend to be forgetful. I don't know how many times I've read about a senior driver hitting something and the excuse is always, "I thought that was the brake."

I know the thought of giving up independence scares people, but what about the safety of yourself and others?

I've heard people talking about how the batteries in a hybrid car are dangerous in a crash involving fire. I'm wondering if there's any legitimacy to this argument or if it's just an argument people who have a bias against hybrid cars for whatever reason are using... I feel like a lot of people are just looking for a way to defame them.

I mean, a rollover is bad enough WITH a roof. But what are the safety features in a convertible? How are they different from standard, non-convertible cars?

I was involved in a car accident over the weekend. A lady coming south made a left turn while I am driving north and I tried to save both of us from the collision, but finally I hit a traffic pole. My car was damages by the passenger side. The police was right there and saw everything. However the lady drove off from the scene. The police wrote how the accident happened on the accident report. Nothing happened to traffic pole except scratches. My insurance company is fixing my car. I have never had any accident prior to this neither speeding thicket. Do you think this will be seen as my fault? Also, I have some minor pain in my back and jaw after the accident, but I am afraid my insurance company will raise my rate if I go to the doctor. Could any one advice me what to do.
Thanks.

I am considering getting a BMW Z3 Convertible year 2001. I got to thinking about rollovers etc. Am I over thinking this? How roll over resistant are they? Is there any protection if you do roll over? Does anyone have one? Would you get one again if you do?
