I need to install some kind of car alarm/anti theft device for my 99 toyota camry ce. Circuit city said they can install Viper keyless entry with starter kill and impact sensor for $200. I don't want to spend that much. Does a steering lock help in anyway? What about ignition cut-off switch? How much will it cost to install?? Are there any places that can install some kind of security for upto $100??

Please give any advice.

Thanks.

Me and my husband are looking to move to PA and we have a 2006 Scion TC, and I know all about the winter road conditions, because I used to live there. But we have an awesome car, and really want to take care of it. Doea anyone have any suggestion or tips on how to keep your car rust free in the winter time, other than not driving it lol? I mean should we pull it into the garage and wash it off after driving it on salted roads? Please give any tips you have, thank you

Would you? I've been in cars where parents have allowed there kids to ride unrestrained because they are only going to the shops or somewhere that's a short distance away, ie under 5 miles. I'm curious as I see lot's of people at shops who just bundle their kids in, or if there are two mothers and not enough seatbelts, hold a child unrestrained on her lap? i always buckle my kids up, no matter how far I'm going, but I'm curious to hear the thoughts of others, especially those who choose not to restrain their children

Seriously, I live in a country full of BAD drivers and it really tickles my funny bone when I see non-serious accidents...like when a bank sign fell on a car parked in a no-parking area. I laughed for days...and when I saw a woman driving a scooter waaay to fast in the rain and she tired to break for a red light and her scooter flipped one way and she went the other...this shocked and amused me.

I mean really, why is it that some people think they own the road that millions of people drive on every day? What every happened to a little courtesy and compassion for your fellow man (or woman)? Every day I travel the highways (I live in Atlanta) there is always one, two, or TEN idiots driving like it is everyone elses duty to move aside for them. I am so sick of it, and unfortunately, it seems to only be getting worse. What are your thoughts?????

Things that peeve me off about other drivers:

1. People who like to bury their head lights into your tail lights.

2. Drivers who like to cut in front of you like it's cool. No turn signals.

3. People on cellular phones who have no idea how slow or how fast their going and don't really care either.

4. Indecisiveness! Either you're turning right or left! CHOOSE!

5. The tailgater. Can I get some breathing room please?! What the heck?!

You know what's funny? All of things that I described, I've done myself! LOL! But when other people do it, it's not funny! :)

I need to find pictures of this as I have a friend who never restrains herself or her kids in the car. I have tried to look for, but can never find pictures or footage that shows what happens to unrestrained mothers and kids in car accidents. She's been lucky so far, and has not been in a smash to find out for herself. I refuse to drive her anywhere now as she will never restrain her kids, and all I can visualize is a small crash, then having to watching her and her kids going into and through the windscreen, especially her 5 month old who sits in her lap on every trip that she takes, whilst she is unrestrained herself
