Why do people break the speed limit? Why not just leave earlier? Don't you know you could kill someone? My mum was killed by someone who was going too fast, and I get so wound up by people speeding past me when I'm doing the speed limit.

This website http://www.advanced-driving.co.uk/driving-tips/acceleration-sense/ said that this is one of the pillars of fuel efficient driving but it didn't really explain why. It seems like accelating briskly would use up a lot of fuel in a short period of time to overcome the low inertia that the car already has.

Its a fact that 70% of places there are speed cameras accidents have increased. In Glasgow last month they put up Average Speed cameras and a guy staring at his speed clock hit in the car infront killing his own kid in the back seat in his wife. And now they just have changed the name to saftey cameras it makes me so angry i hate the traffic police all together :(

What i mean is if you drive 3,000 miles per annum you are allowed 12 points i.e. 4 errors however if like me you travel 60,000 miles per annum i am only allowed 4 errors !!!!! sureley following the law of averages that is unfair now we know cameras are for money ( a hidden tax) not for public safetey

People think that it's not safe to hold a baby unrestrained in the car, but I've had three kids, and nursed them all, and even been in an accident and survived. What's all the fuss about mothers who nurse their kids in the car.

Let's assume that I want to live through a carjacking experience. Let's also assume that I'm in the process of being carjacked, so any tips on how to prevent carjacking aren't really much help. What should I do in this situation to get out alive? How can I stop the carjacker from taking my car? What should I do if I have passengers (e.g. family or friends)?
Of course, I'm not being carjacked right now, but I'm just curious about what to do if I were.

I have an older car and the A/C is broken with no extra $ to fix it. Any suggestions to cool off while driving beside driving fast with the window down? I already wrap a frozen blue ice up in a towel with a rubber band and set it in my lap. Any other ideas?
