A hardship license (also referred to as a Cinderella license) is available from Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles after getting your license suspended due to a OUI / DUI / drunk driving disposition, guilty plea, or continuation without a finding (CWOF).

A restricted hardship license allows you to drive for 12 hours a day to get to and from work (such as 7am to 7pm). You must go through a registry hearing and properly complete all the paperwork. The Massachusetts RMV which charge you $500 for the cost of the hearing.

If it's like the ones in Michigan, it means you can't be out between midnight and five am except when going to or from work.

Hi Brian,
It depends what state you are in. In PA for example, you can't drive after 11p.m. if you are under 18, or before 6a.m. I believe it is.
