1. Use your computer to make a laminated ID Card showing you are an On-Job Trainee or student of "Car Theft Surveillance Institute" - hang it on your rear mirror (inside the front windshield) where the driver or anyone outside could easily see it. The thief, if he can read, would hesitate for fear that it is a thief-bait car.
2. Place a small but flashy-colored sticker on the driver side window showing "Car Equiped with GPS Tracking".
3. Get a keyless entry digital power-lock. Install it in such a way that the car will not start without the keyless-key. A car theft alarm wil also help.
4. Install a gear-shift knob lock. You can't buy a good ready-made one. You have to have it customized and welded. Mine is a thick chain decently wrapped with leather. When the shift knob is at park position, I use a good pad-lock to secure/connect the knob with the chain - the shift knob cannot move without removing the padlock or without cutting the thick chain.

There are anti-theft and other security devices for the car available in selected stores specializing on this trade. Contact one of them and seek appropriate advise. Better to install the best product and make sure that you are paying for the product that works. Do not leave your car in any secluded area, if possible inside a parking space or compound with perimeter and security at both in and out gates. Do not hesitate to spend a little amount, but in return consider safety of your car.

It would probably help but if a thief wants them bad enough they could probably get the club off. It would at least slow them down a little bit.
