My accord was stolen and found after 2 months, stripped, missing hood, glove box, wheels & tires, front bumper, fender, broken ignition, liability coverage=$0 coverage... A total mess but worse was to come. I was NOT notified of the recovery at all and until I called to find out , next thing I knew was the car had been in the towing company for 46 days and now they want $1500 for babysitting it. The PD told me I can get reimbursement for the $1500 but I kind of doubt it and even if I do get it, what am I going to do with the car? I don't have that much money up front for this.
My question is... if I don't want this car anymore... will I get into trouble(lawsuit) for not paying the tow company? They said they will let the collecting company to get the money from me but what if I don't have that money? Does anyone ever encountered this before?? I'm desparate and I have a final in 2 days... Oh, crap.
I want to thank you all for any input in advance. Appreciate it.

I have a 1998 FWD eclipse with 16" rims. Two tires are 225/50/16's and the other two are 205/45/16's. Since I have FWD would I get more traction and power with the bigger tires on front? Or would that disrupt the car's performance and make it look really awkward? Thanks.

My girlfriends daughter drives an Acura and uses high-test gas because the dealer suggested it. With the difference in cost and her high rate of travel, she could save significantly by using regular gas. Could it hurt the car? Any info or opinions on this would be appreciated....thanks.

I'm wondering if I can drive the car with other family members as long as my father is in the passenger's seat. I'm 16 years old and my father says that I can only drive with one person in the car. My old driving instructor said otherwise. He said that I can have other people in the vehicle as long as a person 25 years of age or older is in the passenger's seat.

My father won't let me drive when I'm with the family so any help is very much appreciated.

Links to websites would be nice. :)

I got a parking ticket whilst dropping my daughter off outside a friend's house. I have noticed though that the registration number on the ticket is wrong. They have put dwn 00 instead of 52. Am I lucky and got away with the fine?

Other than the obvious difference in length, what is the difference between a car frame and a truck frame? And why do they "ride" differently?

Right i have just passed my driving test in a manual car , and drive quite contently, but my step dad said to me today that you should ALWAYS get the car into its TOP possibe gear as quickly as possible even at 30mph.. i never did this on my lessons, and can not imagine using 5th gear at 30mph.. is he right? he says it uses less petrol??? no im confused, i dont know if im wearing out the engine or somet by driving in 3/4th gear at 30mph?

To be honest big 4x4,s are a bit "OLD HAT" now anyway. So why not remember the fun you had when you had a "Hot hatch" and sell your 4x4 to a farmer who might actually use it off road, and buy a hot hatch. I have a feeling they will become "en-vogue" again.

I have an almost brand new Nissan X-Trail 2.2 dci Columbia. It is in 2 wheel drive for about 360 days of the year, but has the ability to switch itself to 4x4 should it detect wheel spin. In effect it is a 2 wheel drive estate car.
How much tax will I pay as I am not sure whether it comes under the heading of "4x4 gas guzzler" as it does about 48 mpg diesel? Will I be penalised for having a car with such a good safety feature?
I need it living up here in the Highlands.

I was driving to canada from DC and received a speeding ticket 82/65 in NY close to Quebec border, first one in 11 years of driving. The officer told me that I would receive the amount of the fine later fixed by the judge which in fact I received 205$ and paid it. 3 months later I receive a driver assessment responsibility stating I got 6 points and have to pay 300$ for the same fine. I did not know I was getting points , is it too late to fight it? This obviously upsetting to me because I could have gone to court if I knew I was getting 6 points even though it was 500 miles away from my home.
