how do you find out what band our car is in , i have a land rover 2.5 any help would be good thanks

You dont tell us what model, or if its petrol or diesel, but this will tell you

If your car was first registered on or after 1st March 2001 (51-reg in England, Scotland and Wales) the CO2 emissions will be stated on the new-style registration document (V5c).

Use that figure with the tables at http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Motoring/OwningAVehicle/HowToTaxYourVehicle/DG_10012524 to find out what band it is in.

Go to www.bbc.com and look at the budget calculator
there is a link to a page that explains what bands cars are in.
