What do you drive the most in your everyday life; driving to work, running errands, picking up the kiddies, etc?

Please share as many details about it as you like.

Is it just me or is Jeep dead? To me it started with dumping the Cherokee in 2001 in favor of the Liberty. (Side note the new 2008 Liberty is a reworked/refaced Dodge Nittro.) Now there is a Compas(Dodge Caliber), the Patriot (front wheel drive) And the bigger soccer mom friendly mini van V6 powered Jeep Wrangler. A Jeep (I'm talking orig open air type vehicle) is a vehicle that when you take it off road one can hose it off inside and out. It is a vehicle that the owner can work on and modify him/herself w/out an advance degree in enginering from Brown. I'm not saying that the won't Wrangler be a good off vehicle. I just think that none off roaders shouldn't have such a big influence on how the JEEP should ride or if it should have all the creature feature as the H2 or H3( over priced Tahoe and Cayan). Then there is Chryslers stupid "Trailrated" badge. Marketers suck! Is your Jeep better than my jeep because it has a badge? No! Its just a sticker!

There was a tv show "Hunter" in 80's featuring Fred Dryer as a detective Rick Hunter and Stepfanie Kramer as Dee Dee Mccall. Anyone knows the brandnames of Rick Hunter and Dee Dee Mccall's cars? I pulled over to to side of the street and turned my engine off and took the keys with me and forgot to place the car in parked and it was still in drive and it didn't move. Is that normal? Does a car have to be in parked in order for the engine to start?

I was in a bus lane on a Saturday. ALL the bus lanes were mon-fri. THEN all of a sudden the sign posted said mon-sat... a bus and a van were infront of me and i didn't see the sign until about 5m into the bus lane (that only because i was trying to get out!).
NO where was a sign saying that cameras are being used.
Along that same road there are many spots where you can "enter" the bus lane but there is no sign to indicate its hours of operation.
Some signs along that road are blocked by traffic lights, trees, other signs.
.
I was fined and I appealed. I have to show up infront of adjucator 2007. WHAT ARE THE LAWS THAT COUNCILS MUST FOLLOW REGARDING SIGNS? ANYONE SUGGEST REASONS FOR APPEAL IN MY CASE? WHAT SHOULD I TAKE AS EVIDENCE?

Looking to change my car but would like to keep my current car and maybe do some work on it. (dont worry its not a banger its just getting a bit tired) If it is declared off the road, can it be reinstated for use on the road once any work has been done. I understand this would really only apply for around the Taxing date but is there anything that would cause a problem with doing this. Understand that the car would need taxed before it could be put back on the road anyway.

I'm looking on the net, e-bay etc for a poster or a bit of memorabilia of a Triumph TR2 for a present for my dad who owned one in the 1950s. But all the quaint adverts etc have a picture with a bloke (of course) driving in the left-hand seat. Are these all from American mags or what? I want to buy him a bit of nostalgia, but not if it's a picture of Yanks driving a TR2 - he'd kill me!

They are considerably cheaper than others I've seen by Bridgestone and Goodyear, so for some reason I expect that there is probably a reason for this. But, I am hoping to hear that I am wrong about that. If you have experience with these tires, what do you think of them? Not only in the snow, but how are they during braking and cornering on dry pavement?

So far where I am at we haven't gotten any snow yet. Of course no one knows what is to come for the rest of the season. I need new tires and I am thinking about going with All Season tires. One negative thing I have read about winter tires is that they supposedly don't do too well in dry conditions. I never really HAVE to be in the snow if I don't want to, so I have to ask myself how much benefit will I really see and is it worth having degraded safety in dry conditions. The one benefit I see about snow tires is that (amongst other characteristics) the rubber compound is specifically designed to work well in very cold temperatures. Anyway, I wanted to get an idea of how many other people out there in a similar climate use snow tires. By the way, if I lived in Buffalo, NY or Canada (except for the west coast) I would definately get them without a doubt.
