looking for best route taking potential weather into account. I'll be driving the smallest size Budget truck (I bedroom).

84 to 80 to 81 should get you to Nevada if my memory is correct, then it a short trip from there

I traveled interstate 90 once from somewhere around springfield, MA to Buffalo, NY. interstate 90 goes REALY far, coast to coast I think. The tolls will cost money, about $30 to Buffalo... Look at a map and keep 90 in mind...

Connecticut to San Fran?? I'd go Rt. 91 to Rt 95(NY) to 695 in Baltimore to Rt 83 to Rt 81 south to Rt 40 to Rt 58(CA) to 99 to 46 to Rt 5 to Rt 580 to 80 to San Fran
The only tolls I remember is on Rt 95 going threw NJ/NY/MD, it gets kind of complicated from Rt 81 to Rt 40

95 south to the GW then west to sacramento on I 80 then north on 5 to SF .it cant get much easier
