Has anyone heard of a crotchrocket style bike with the name Jipsom or Jinson, somethng like that. I couldve swore thats what someone told me they had and cant find the name anywhere. Thanks for any help and go easy on me i am a motorcyle newbie

I have some 'practical' question about buying a first motorcycle. Not which bike I should buy etc.. but practical things. The first thing is: Where do I park it at night? On the street? I live in a decent area but live in an apartment. No garage.. I dont see any other motorcycles on the street.. do they get stolen? Do you park it with a chain on it?

Is insurance expensive on them? (just weekend riding)

How much is registration?

Here's the deal folks.....Many have posted that they have X amount of years riding experience when they answer some motorcycle questions.
Years of riding does count to some degree, but how many miles do you have under your belt to go along with that experience?

Im building a 600cc go cart, and would hate to spend 80 bucks on a motorcyle manual just to connect a few wires. Does anyone have, or know anywhere online to find what im looking for? I searched everywhere and only found a 2006 manual, but its nothing like what i have.

i have a 2001 yahama 1600 roadstar and it is by far the nicest bike i have ever owned and yes i owned a couple of harleys... liked em but as far as dependability and the ride??? harley cant compare>>>> hey it does sound like a harley a little deeper,,, i attribute that to the bigger motor,,more cubes..

Background: I don't want the standard HD offerring for saddlebags on my FXD35. They are too small, and I don't care for the looks. My leather bags were only a cheap "get by" thing.
The project: design and fabricate a custom luggage rack/bracket to mount my old Hondaline hard bags. Paint bags Glacier White with red and blue stripes to match the bike. Add a tank bib to the back of each bag.
The question for you: Does anyone have any experience when it comes to obtaining the proper colors for an Anniversary Edition, or the "restricted sale" parts like the tank bibs?

I intend to stop at the dealership when I go out visiting this Sunday. Any advance knowledge would be a help.

I am looking to buy a Trike. I have a motorcycle license now, but my Wife doesn't.
1) Is There anything special needed for a trike?

2) Whould a standard operator (D) class do it?

3) Does anyone Who now rides a Trike wish they had stayed on 2-wheels? Pros/cons?

4) Have you seen this Can-Am Spyder comming out in Oct.?
(Thoughts?)

I am considering possibly selling/trading off the herd to buy this thing. All I ever get a chance to do anymore are Long distance rides (weather permiting). Even then, mabe only once or twice a year. If I could ride in bad weather with a bit more confidents, I would get more time in the saddle. I/e: Ride to work more, Ride later and earlier in the year, ect. Expecially with a passengers needs to consider.

Any helpful insite would also be greatly apprichiated.

As I said, I've got a 2001 Honda cr125r, and I'm going to have the engine rebuilt because it's didly squat for compression and leaks out the exhaust bad because of blow past. Now I'm only rebuilding the top end, but I'm concerned if considering I'm going this far anyway should I have the bottom end inspected and just go ahead and replace all the gaskets while I'm at it? I want what's best for my bike, and that's why I'd like more than my opinion on this subject. Thanks for your help!!

I have a 2001 Honda cr125, and I'm going to rebuild the engine, so I figured i might as well go all out and replace anything that needs it. So I'm going to put new parts in the clutch also, and I wanted to know if I should just replace the friction plates, or everything, the friction plates, steel plates, and springs. The clutch works just fine, but considering my engine isn't running to well and needs rebuild, I'm planning on working on the clutch also, and just had this question in mind. and it would save money if I only have to replace the friction plates also, that's my main concern. Any help is much appreciated!! Thank you!!

I have a 1991 Suzuki DR350 straight dirt bike. It is a kickstarted motorcycle. I cleaned out the carbs and cleaned out the gas line. I have a new spark plug in and i do get spark, i shocked myself with it and thats how i know. i am using premium chevron gasoline(if that makes a difference). i sprayed starter fluid into the carbs as i was directed by a shop, and that didnt work. NO clue what to do next, lol. HELP!!

I'm interested getting a motorcycle license. If I obtain a learners permit, would I be allowed to drive a motorcycle on my own? (I understand it's still a learners permit) If not, how would you learn to drive one? I can't imagine you'd need someone with their license to ride with you. I'm 19 years old, living in Ohio.

I have a drug screening tomorrow and I take Xanax every now and then for my anxiety. I haven't taken a pill in about a week and a half, and before that I hadn't taken one in over 2 months. I am just curious as to how long the drug stays in your system. I have recently taken the Plan B emergency contraceptive pill as well and was just curious as to wether, or not that would be detected in my urine. I am not worried because I don't do any drugs besides excedrin, ibuprofen and my Xanax upon occasion which is prescribed to ME. But I am just curious, because I take the test at 7:45A.
