Why do so many people have the logo of a corporation tattooed on themselves, ie any number of H-D designs. Do they have Nabisco tattooed on themselves because they love the breakfast cereals?

Goog question, I suppose it is because of Pride of ownership.
By the way, I've often wondered why people spend money to advertise by way of t-shirts, sweatshirts, etc.
Shouldn't THEY pay US to wear their gear? Yet people actually spend MORE for something with a name on it. Just doesn't make sense.

It is just the pride of owning a motorcycle that is manufacture here in the United States. Harley Davidson has the largest band of owners of any vehicle in the U.S. and have always provided dealer/owner support to all the Harley Owners as a appreciation for buying Harley Davidson Motorcycles. Their biggest seller beyong the motorcycles are the Harley memorbilia and clothing which promote Harley Ownership Pride and continued support. There is no other motorcycle group out there with as much pride and support for their members. It's also the pride of buying and supporting the oldest and longest manufacture of American Motorcycles. Harley in appreciation for their support, sponsors various fund raisers for groups such as MDA etc. They sponsors the bike weeks in various cities throughout the U.S. and has the largest member support group - "Harley Owners Group". So it is not just "I owner a Harley" it's a pride of being apart of the Harley Family.

Obviously, you don't have a Harley. ever see the a jeep running around with a sign on it that says, " it's a jeep thing...you wouldn't understand". The same holds true with a Harley. Sure, it's a motorcycle, but it is so much more. A status symbol, a common item that people share their experiences with. There are motorcycle clubs, of various types and motorcycle organizations, yet no other is as close as with Harley owners. You'll never see anyone with a tattoo that says Yamaha on their chest.
But if "love" was the only reason for a tatoo, according to you, what would people love, who have a tattoo of the barbed wire around their forearm?

It's a lifestyle & devotion thing .
people who ride bike develope a bond w/other bikers where as you could only fanthom this if you were in this world.truely a life of its own!
I know bikers that would give you the shirt off their back, hold fund raisers for thoes that are in need.
Dont judge to quickly! It could be you stranded on the road or in need someday & these "tattooded ones will be there.

and he does have Tatoos, just not brand name logo's.
and he doesnt have to have the Harley Davidson wings to be a man or a true biker.

Maybe not Nabisco, but I have seen Coke and a Camel tat on some chicks once.
Besides it's not your skin or your choice...your just a troll who wants to bash. I don't own a Harley, but I choose not to let it bug me either.
