It's my friend's bike. I don't know if it's a 2 stroke or 4. He says it seems to be idling high. I think he said 1200. I seem to recall my 2002 750cc Honda Shadow idling at about 800-1000. Do older bikes idle higher than the newer ones?

Is (replacing) the rear stock shocks worth the time and money. Interested in first hand experience. This bike has 17k. Rides a bit like a lumber wagon. Have (not) tried adjusting theses to date. I suspect this might help a bit. Aftermarkets would look a bit weak on this Harley, yet if the ride improved I would not care.

B&T's Smooth Ride shocks. Expensive shocks are not an option. These look great but you would never get the money out of these unless you kept the bike for 10 years.

Thanks for your time and consideration.

my kdx 125 is a 94 model it starts first or second kick and idles well. when in nuetral it can be throttled through the whole rev range with no problems, but when riding it it does not like it be ridden slowly it judders but give it full throttle and get up to 60/80 mph and it goes like there is nothing wrong.

Many manufacturers have opted for rubber bushings in their engine mounts to reduce vibration; Harley did this with the Sportster in 2004. One would think that the rubber mount would increase engine "play" within the mounts and lead to drivetrain wear elsewhere. Is this the case or are the components to which the engine is linked engineered such that they can tolerate the vibration?

My coolant reserve tank is empty on my Honda CBR... and I dont have time to trace the problem just now. So I am just going to pour some automotive 50/50 antifreeze thing into the coolant reserve tank and top it off.

So I'll warm up the bike a bit, poor the coolant through a funnel into the reserve tank till it hits the top line. Is there anything else I have to do?

Does the bike have to be at a certain temperature to add to/measure coolant level?
Even if I have to add a lot of coolant, is it ok to put it all into the reserve tank? Do I have to pour into the radiator?
How can I check how much coolant the bike has if the reserve tank is empty?
Is the coolant level measured on the sidestand or with the bike straight?

Thanks for the help...
