The local Yamaha dealer won't budge on the $6300 price tag on the 2007 but I've found some 2006 models on ebay for $4400. Just wondering if there were any major differences.

American manufacturers are hung up on the V-twin; why not get with the program and build a bad azz 4 or 5 cylinder.

Competitive means that is has the same or better horsepower, weight and performance as the Jap bikes and is not 3xs the price.

i've look inside the cylinder and all looks fine. the exhaust isnt clogged. the motor is from one of those little mini ninjas. 49cc weed eater motor. i cant seem to locate the reed valve. could that be the prob?? no reed valve?

i took the carb off to check the reed valve and couldnt find one anywhere. i looked in the cylinder also and couldnt see anything like it. could that be my problem,????

ok i have good compression. im changing the gas with fresh fuel. if the reed valve is stuck open does that mean i need to tear the motor apart to fix it??

has screw and locknut on pressure plate. vertical shaft below actuating arm has a srew to it. this appears to have a wear mark that appears like there was a ball bearing there but a bearing doesn't fit there . there is no bearing between the clutch rods also

The paint is not directly noticable because it is similar in color. But I can feel the roughness on the tank etc. And there are a few small drips on the leather seat that are very noticable. Aside from my seething anger and what I'd like to do to the guy, I'd just like to get the paint off if I can.

Sometime in 1980's harley sued honda for the patented sound. Honda built a shadow that sounded just like a honda. I've looked on the internet but can't find info on this anywhere! Anybody remember this?
