If I changed the reed valves on my quad would it make it perform better??

well lets hope its a 2 stroke...

second, if it has metal reeds, then by changing them to carbon fiber reeds it will idle better, rev quicker and make more hp.
the only problem is if its not tuned right and it backfires, youll burn the reeds, and will then need replaced.

BUT, if a piece breaks off, it wont harm the motor like a steel reed would.

A tiny bit. But for any kind of noticeable performance, you should do a lot of mods at the same time.
