I dont know if theres two differnt engines during that year I just know its an 04 Turbo so if anyone knows the 0-60 with a link it would be great thanks.

I have a Volvo S40, 2000 model. I already had the ECT sensor replaced, but the other day, it acted weird. All of a sudden, the car seemed to be stuck on a gear. It was hesitating when i was braking, felt like it still wanted to go. So I pulled over and when I put the car in Park, the engine revved to 5000 rpm. I shut the car down, and when I tried to re-start, it would not start. The temp gauge indicates overheating, but that could not be possible.

no pattern, happens at least once a week at most 3 separate days a week. just shuts off when im driving. al lights go on and i have to restart and it comes back to life.

i have a 1995 volvo 850 turbo, its automatic, the first start of the day it revs up all the way to the 3, as if i was pressing the gas but im not, i leave it like that for 30 seconds to a minute then it goes down to one. any idea of why this happens? check engine light is on, and the car shakes when i am stopped i guess its a rough idle.

Which car is better to get? A 2002-2003 Mercedes C-class wagon, 2002-2003 Audi A6 wagon, or a 2002-2003 Volvo wagon. I need to fit a labrador retriever in the back, and I need something that will last the longest. A V6 engine is preferrable. I am not planning on spending more than $21,000 on it.

my 2000 s40 turn signal has been working sporadically. some days it works every time, other days, not so much, with no apparent rhyme or reason. yesterday it didn't work at all. my guess is it's not a fuse (sometimes the signals work) or a bulb (when these go out i think the signal on the dash goes double-time). does it sound like a short? what should i anticipate in terms of repair?

The private party only had the valet key not the original. Is there a way to get the original key? I have to unlock the doors in order to open the trunk because the valet key doesn't work to unlock the trunk.

Do some Volvo cars come with 4 wheel drive? I know Subaru sedans do. I was wondering, cause I was thinking about buying one cause I need 4 wheel drive, but I do not want to drive an SUV.

It seems like volvos are safe cars, but no one told me that I would have so many problems with other things. No one at the dealership said that my check engine light would come on (all the time) and that I would problems with the stereo and eveything else. Does anyone else notice this problem with their cars or is mine just cursed?

I am looking at a 2001 Volvo wagon w/ 90K thousand miles. They are asking 11,000 for the car. Should I buy it, even though it has high miles? How long do Volvo's usually last?

If it was a Toyota with 90K miles, I wouldn't worry because my Toyota's have always lasted me into the 200K's. Are Volvo's equally reliable?
