In my experience no bleed valve is a good bleed valve just cranking up the boost is never a wise idea sure its easy extra power but its very easy to destroy an engine if with one especially high boost and a cold engine. If you do want to take the boost up go for an in car two stage system this way you can run standard boost until you feel a bit cheeky press the button on the dash (usually fit in to a blank where a button is fitted on different spec car I.e air con fog lamps etc) and get high boost press it again to go back to standard boost. Even still I would only recommend having it fitted by someone who knows what they are doing because those T4 engines really aren't cheap Good luck.
