am going to get a 95 nissan maxima for $2.300 now...it has 178.000 miles but the problem is that the airbags are blown so i was wondering what do i have to do?? buy them?? for how much?? and i have to get them installed by a dealer or someone else??...

Just needed a little help in increasing the performance on my car. I've been looking at the warpspeed y-pipes as my first upgrade in speed but don't know what after that. What else will give me a pretty good hp gain that won't really sacrifice my mpg which isn't that good to start with. I don't have fancy equipment- can't I just jump two of the wires in the diagnostic port to retrieve trouble codes via flashes of the check engine light? I've done it on other cars, but I don't have the book for this one. The check engine light is on, so I know that it has thrown a code.

i also went to check it with firestone and they said my brakes r good and they r 25/40(dont know more on it) but overall was said gud.its newly bought(used car) and wondering if its minor or a major problem!i m going to take it to the dealer monday but in between any suggestions will help to pacify my mind.has 85kmiles on it.thanks!keep in mind i have to apply more force for complete stop.

I have a 2006 Nissan Maxima.

When I put a CD in I have a chance that it won't work. It'll kick the CD out 2, 3, 10, 20, 50 times (sometimes more), saying "Check Disc" or "CD ERROR F2".

This happens with old, new, and burned CD's, so it's not the CD's themselves. This happens with CD's that never had a problem. I've noticed that the stereo tends to ruin the bottoms of the CD's, too - scratching them up something awful.

The drawback is the CD player is built into the center console, behind it, and the large LCD display (where the nav is), connects to it. Special buttons are built into the console to function with the CD player. Since the player is hidden, any stereo system I'd buy would be worthless since the buttons and display would also be behind the panel, and it likely wouldn't interface with the existing buttons/screen.

How can I replace it with a different system? Is that possible? Or can it only be replaced by another Nissan stereo?

I am going to change my OEM plugs and install NGK Iridium plugs this weekend. According to the website, it says not to gap the new plugs, however I'm worried that will cause decreased performance. Should I gap them, and if so, how much for a 2005 N/A 3.5L Altima with some minor mods?
