Whenver buying new rims for a car you should also consider buying tires due to the fact that most after market wheel makers may not have the same measure of your tire. However, I do assume you want to go bigger? In that case just try to keep the same width of your tire. However don't too big because your tires might rub the sheet metal in the wheel arches. I believe that the '01 Maxima comes with factory 16's right? So, I would recommend going no more than two inches larger. Make them 18's and try to get a 225 tire with at least a 40 sidewall in it. Enkei has great rims and check Yokohama or Toyo for tires, they also have a large range of products. Personally I like the Enkei RP03's in Silver with a Yokohama Parada Spec-2 Tire... but it also depends on how mucho you're willing to spend.

Just so you know, I changed the rims/tires on my 2001 Nissan Altima to 18"..and now I lost about 30 miles or more per tank of gas. The bigger tires also make a lot of "road noise" ... they do look better than the stock rims though. I paid about $1,100 for the 4 rims/tires together. Tenzo is the brand of rims.

I always look at my body style car on tirerack.com with a wide selection of wheels available you can put pictures of the rims on the website on your color Maxima. Other than that tire rack have very helpfull people. Luke #369 sell me all my tire and rim suspension needs. Learn about forged, cast, high pressure cast and centrifugal cast rims. Get educated about rims not just slap a set on and find out the lug nuts pull thru low quality wheels.

Stillen should be a great for you then. They specialize in customizing nissans and other manufacturers. They sell anything from wheels to performance parts at a reasonable price. RB motoring is also a great place to get wheels from. They sell anything that comes off of a car. Good luck and I hope the links help out. Both have a wide variety of wheels and performance parts. Any size also.
