I have problem with my 91 honda accord is seems to miss or back during accleration and the engine light comes on only when i go pass 70 mph, can anyone tell me what might be cause this. I just have the os2 sensor replace and the egr value cleaned to pass smog, thats when it started.

Hey guys,

I was wondering if it was a good idea to buy the NISSAN 300Zx. Although, its production was stopped in 1996, I was kinda inclined towards the looks of the car. I don't know much about its performance in comparison with the Prelude.
Also, most of the 300ZXs that I found had over 100K miles on them.

i have 96 civic, my problem is everytime I start my car in the morning and tap the gas there is a noise coming from the front hood. When I drive the car and step on the gas i will make noise (its like metal rattling) but after about 5 minutes of driving the noise is gone and the engine is running smooth.
I'm not sure what is the problem but i'm guessing maybe its the exhaust manifold, engine, or timing belt.
what are the symptoms of bad exhaust manifold?

I took it to a local Honda repair dealer and they said that it was normal. Something to do with my Honda's ABS locks or something. Can someone help me? Is it true that this noise is normal or are they lying to me?

I have a Honda Accord EX V6 - 2001. Started a couple of weeks ago, the maintenance required light would flash while I am driving. When the light flashes for couple seconds, all the meters on the Dashboard (i.e. Gas, Speedometer, etc) would drop to zero. This is happening frequently.

I took my car to the dealer and dealer does not know what would cause the problem and want to charge $200 to run tests.

Has anyone experienced this problem?

I have a 97 honda accord. About how often should i change its oil? because the manual says Every 7500 miles but some ppl are telling me every 3500. so im a little bit confused.

Fuel gauge was not registering and diagnostic could not find problem but mechanic installed the ELD sensor and this seemed to solve the problem with the fuel gauge although mechanic did not think there was anything wrong with fuel gauge. That problem was in February. This month I brought the car to dealer because of engine light. I was told to bring in car early in morning (6Am) because it will require more diagnostic work to determine why engine light stays on. They mentioned emission problem. I passed NY emissions Inspection a few weeks ago.

my car is a honda prelude 1989 2.0 si automatic fuel injected and when i was driving home the timing belt broke when going 40 mph people tell me that i might as well get a new motor but were and also many tell me that i can just but a new timing belt into the car and it might work....also i could take the head off and get it fixed i am not sure of the damage of the car since i havent taken the head off but i did take the valve cover off and the belt is boken but what do i look for and how do i take off the head please help me

I recently changed the ball joints and the shocks. I recently had the springs changed to lower ones but i put the stock springs back up since the car is hitting the ground. My dad says something should be lubricated, i need your help guys!

problem seems like a bad IAC valve - When I start it, it runs at 2000 for 10 sec then starts varying between 1000 & 2000 rpm at idle. Over 2400 it is level. If I pull the connector it will vary quickly around 1500 rpm as soon as it is started. Cold or hot no difference. 10 sec delay will happen every time it is started.
I just replaced the air cleaner and cleaned the PCV valve, which seems to work about the same as a new one, then this started. Coincidence or something else wrong - like an air leak? How can I be sure it is the IAC??

I've pulled the air intake and plugged the bottom throttle port and it goes to idle. the only trouble code is 0505 unless of course I pull the connector. Pulling the throttle position sensor plug yields a constant 2000 rpm and an code indicating it is open.

There entry level trim sucks, only gets 140 horse power, while for only $790 more you can get the scion tC entry level has 160 horse power, has more standard features than the civic plus looks a heck of alot better. The only advantage i see that the civic having is MPG which is only 7 MPG more than the scion, for only 7 MPG less i would much rather have 160 horse power belive it or not it makes a difference. PLUS scion is made by Toyota which has the best resale value and the most reliable company out there.

My 2001 Honda civic just had the check engine light come on. I bought this car used a while back and don't have the service book for it. So my question is how do I check the code? And is there a website that will explain what the code means for my car? Do I need an OBD II scan tool to do this or is there some way to get arround this? Thanks for your help!
