I work at a car dealership. I booked it out on our KBB system as a 96 Honda Accord DX 4 door, automatic with 152K miles. I didn't add for power win, lock, cruise, cd, since I didn't know what options you have on it. Wholesale blue book is $3100 and retail is $5600. Depending on the condition, you could expect to get in the $4000-$4500 range on a private party sale. For a trade in, don't expect more than $1500.

A mechanic as quickly as informed my spouse the Xterra necessary a head gasket interest. he suggested that replaced into the reason at the back of overheating! He needed $1500.00 for the interest! we've an further vehicle, so i began out to take issues aside with a view to make certain why it replaced into overheating. the 1st ingredient to study to work out if it desires a head gasket is to work out if white smoke comes out of the tail pipe consistently. while oil and coolant blend, the oil appears like a chocolate milkshake. so examine the oil! is this vehicle salvaged? I honestly have a 1990 Honda Civic with 255,000 miles and hasn't giving me any problems. examine the thermostat. examine the water pump to work out if this is leaking. do a compression attempt on the radiator to work out if this is leaking. I did each and every thing i discussed above and it became out it replaced into the radiator that replaced into clogged! I took the radiator off the vehicle and the radiator shop charged me $20 to scrub it. it would no longer be the comparable case on your vehicle yet, have not got self assurance each and every thing mechanics provide help to recognize!!! bypass over the flaws i discussed above and who's acquainted with, it would be something else which you would be able to repair!!! reliable good fortune!

Kelly Blue Book is the best way to check for prices. Just know that the price listed is only a value to start negotiation.

Check Kelly's Blue Book.

Off the top of my head, I wouldn't pay more than 5k. That's a well used car.

2500 to 3900 seems to be a decent price for one if it is in good condition with normal wear like tires and decent paint
