The 2.2Liter, 4 cylinder engine is an interference type engine that can suffer major damage if the timing belt breaks. The belt is due to be replaced at about 100,000 miles which will be a $750 dollar job since the water pump and belt tensioner should be replaced at the same time. The front brake rotors on that car cannot be removed easily for replacement as with most cars, and may need replacement if it needs front brakes. That makes the front brake job maybe double the cost. Assuming the front brake pads and rotors need replacing, your now up to a quick $1,200 repair cost just for routine maintenance. Has the transmission oil been flushed recently according to Honda's maintenance schedule? That's another $200 cost. How's the rear brakes holding up? Does it need tires soon? How many owners has there been? Do you have any way of knowing if the car has been maintained regularly according to Honda's maintenance schedule? Realize that the car is now 10 years old. Has the car ever been in an accident and needed collision and mechanical repairs? What if the McPherson struts finally need replacing? How's the muffler and tailpipe? Have they been replaced?
