the first thing to do is have someone pull the code for the check engine light. On that model you need to look at the blinking LED lights on the electronic control unit that is located under the right side of the dash board behind the carpet. Those lights will bink out a diagnostic trouble code that will indicate the specific reason that the check engine light is coming on. there are about 15 separate codes that can be triggered.

it sounds as though you have a fouled out spark plug from whatever was used to clean the egr. a fouled plug would cause a high speed misfire. without the code, I would start with a fresh set of spark plugs; they're cheap and an easy place to start.

If it continues to happen after you replace the spark plugs, take it to someone who can pull the code and go from there

hope that helps

Check to see which code is stored. You could have Secondary Ignition ( Plugs, Wires) Breaking under heavy load- depending on the engine may have a distributor problem- some of these have had the warranty extended for defective distributors, The other possiblity is Fuel Pressure and Volume, not enough causees the engine to run lean at high speeds/load conditions. The code will help guide you or the mechanic in the right direction. REPOST if you can find out the code(s). Also include which engine.

Have you checked the brake fluid level to make sure it's full? If it is then your master cylinder might be bad. Maybe the brake booster. You better get that checked like YESTERDAY. You don't want to mess around when it comes to brakes. As for the car going sideways did it just happen once or does it happen all the time? The first thing to check would be the wheel lug nuts. If they are tight then you need to look underneath the car at the suspension components to see if anything is worn like a control arm or any rubber bushings. Your Accord is front wheel drive(FWD) so it's HIGHLY UNLIKELY to oversteer. FWD cars are prone to UNDERSTEER which means the front tires will "plow" and want to continue going straight when making a hard turn. Rear wheel drive cars are more prone to oversteer by design.

sounds like spark plugs or a distributor problem, it wouldn'y hurt to get a diagnostics check
