My Citroen C2 driver side electric window has stopped going up automatically when i lift the switch, you have to hold the switch up. Going down is fine. The switch is ok because i swapped it with the passenger side one which is also automatic. So any ideas? Maybe inside the door? Many thanks people!

I can't afford a Haynes Manual for it yet and I need to open the bonnet. I can release the catch under the dashboard but I am havig problems with the manual catch under the bonnet itself. I can feel the squarish plastic part that I think must be the catch but I can't work out how to manipulate this to open the bonnet - is there some trick to this?

I have just bought a Citreon Picasso and the only thing that's bugging me is that when the external temp drops below 3 degrees then the reading on the dash board flashes - I find that distracting - is there any way to stop it.

I've read the manual and can't find anything obvious.

Apart from that it's a great motor. Two litre turbo diesel, comfort, fuel economy and good ride height. Love it.

Thanks in advance
John

I recently bought a Xantia 1.9 TD VSX - needs some paintwork touched up. Its (metallic - I think) blue in colour.
I've tried to find a plate with paint id but couldn't.
Anybody know its colour name and/or where the id plate would be located. Thanks.

Manual says it's somewhere on the driver's side window column - can't see it anywhere. Not critical to know - just curious.

It's a 1.9 Diesel without a hand book. The hydraulics seem to be OK. The light comes on at startup then stays on and goes off when it feels like it. It comes on when you are driving along, then either stays on or goes off again. Flickering intermittently

Back in July, the exhaust went on my 98 1.6 Xsara and I had a new catalytic converter fitted. I drove for about 10 minutes with no exhaust to get to the garage. A couple of days later the engine light came on and the car started to misfire occasionally. I took it to a Citroen dealer who said the ECU was coming up with a problem with an injector so I paid £200 for a new injector harness. It made no difference and the mechanic said they couldn't get the light to turn off, therefore I 'needed a whole new ECU.'
Not wanting to pay £600 I've been putting up with it for a few months now. Sometimes the car runs perfectly, other times it frequently loses engine power for a split second. This happens whether I'm accelerating or travelling at a constant speed.
It idles ok, apart from an occasional 'cough' when the engine momentarily loses 50 or RPM and then recovers.

Any ideas? I suspect the lambda sensor since the exhaust went just before the problem.

And i dont understand one of the light icons on the dash. its on the right side and looks like a dripping tap, i know this is probaly self explainatory so i have fill the radiator and the window wiper fluids but it still flashes for about 6-7 seconds everytime i staret the car. Now when i am driving alond the every now again the dash lights up with the hazards flashing and the stop lights flashing. Has anyone any idea why this is happening..
