Open up the bonnet, insert your car key and turn to ignition on position (don't start the engine! just has all the usual warning lights activated), press the horn button and trace the where the sound is coming from. Application to all cars!!!! Cheer!!!!

Other answers ignore that you might be looking for the horn BECAUSE IT IS NOT WORKING :-))
In my Citroen Xsara, it is almost near the radiator, in the front of the car, to the left side, close to the fog lights. It s protected by the front protection (parechocs). Should be similar in the ZX.

an even quicker way to find it.....stick your head under the bonnet and get someone else to hit the horn button !.....but mind your head when you recoil from the blast !!!
