Hi there,
Common rail and high pressure diesels are good for the environment but when the system fails it damages most all of the componants in the fuel system.
The fuel filter does not filter the fuel properly and dirty fuel gets into the high pressure fuel pump, the high pressure fuel pump works under such high pressures that the small amount of debris/dirt in the fuel causes the high pressure pump to wear internally and the pump breaks up passing minute particals of metel through the entire system, the injectors are blocked by metal and metal is left in the tank and fuel filter housing.
When the system is diagnosed and parts are removed for either repair or replacement, it is important that fuel tank fuel lines and filters are cleaned or replaced. Any small amount of dirt/metal left in the system can and will have catastrophic consequences at the same cost as before.
It is so important that componants are kept clean that new componants are delivered sealed and caps on connectors and pipe ends. Always use good diesel from a good source and never from an old or dirty can.
Good Luck

I see that you already wasted a lot of money on the trendy bolt on garbage that doesn't really do anything. You already spent about $1000 to get maybe 15 horsepower at best. The stock fuel pump can supply your stock engine with all the fuel it will ever need. So will the stock fuel lines, fuel rail, and fuel injectors. You do not need to do anything to the fuel system until you start making serious modifications to the engine that will actually make it take in more air. Thing like ported and polished heads with larger valves, racing cams, racing pistons, headers, etc. The garbage you hung on this engine does not allow it to move much more air than when it was stock.

This is an technical bit from citroen uk
in order for theresvlves to keep in with the new goverment guidelines they have to increase the oil usage in the fuel that they use on the raods(( but wait for it is it not true that the fuel companies are reducing oil as it reduces performance and it creates more emissions))
So to go back to the start.
every pump that we have had back from the rebuilders or themanufacturers have condemmed due to burning out due to no oil in pump! so i would check and clean the lines you dont get much faults from the injectors

Doesn't burn them out but more than likely has blocked them.
