Yes, on a Xantia the power steering, brakes and suspension is all worked from the same reservoir on the lefthand side front of the engine bay.
the correct fluid is LHM, it's a green colour.

Never use any fluid other than LHM in Citroen hydraulic systems.

Yeah its undesirable. i does not even start up the engine till I have been given the flexibility guidance fluid out... that is purely me. the prospect right this is that some fluids, like brake fluid and ability guidance fluid, that are comparable, will reason some seals to swell up. So what happens, ability guidance fluid gets into the rear significant seal, as an occasion, the complicated rubber swells up too enormous, wears excessively or starts off cracking after which you have a collection of issues. If it have been me, i could drain each and each drop of ability guidance fluid that i'd desire to get out of that engine. i could use a sturdy high quality oil as alternative. replace the oil clear out too. Then i could nonetheless be worried.... Others would disagree, yet i does not run an engine with ability guidance fluid in it. Its purely too risky... according to danger that is overkill, yet i could extremely be secure than sorry.

No your motor oil goes in the oil fill tube or the cap on your valve cover. The Brake fluid goes in the mastercylinder against the fire wall on the drivers side, near fender wells.
The power steering fluid is gonna go in either a little tank attached to the powerdsteering pump where your belts are... Or a tank near it that feeds fluid to the powersteering pump via a hose.
