I just checked the oil with the dip stick and it's quite low, i've no handbook and not sure where to put the oil does anyone have a car like this that knows? please

Depends on the engine, but generally right on top of it there's what is known as the rocker cover and on top of that there's a cap,either black or yellow, about maybe 3/4cms across. It may unscrew or more likely just pull off. If you look inside you'll see the valve mechanism. Just pour the oil in here, maybe a cup or so at a time, and allow it time to run down to the bottom of the engine before dipping again. A little at a time is the trick. Don't overfill, that'll cause problems.

simple little cap sits above the rocker cover use a funnel to fill it to or it will leave a mess.
not really important but the mess is annoying
