I have a 2005 Chevrolet Cavalier used primarily for work. I drive the car on highway and in town. Currently has 65,000 miles. Bought it new and it was fine till about 40,000 (just 4,000 out of warranty) My problem is that the transmission started acting up by jerking when it was put into gear. I took it to the dealer who told me that because there was no light on the dash there was nothing wrong. I know this is bull.... as the car never did it before. A friend drove it an thought it micht be a u-joint. Also as time passes the car now makes a "clunking" sound as it slows down... such as stopping for a stop sign or a traffic light. The problem is intermittent but when it acts up it keeps getting worse. problems really rear their ugly head when you run the car hard.

I have a 350 motor with a 60 over bore and I recently found out I needed a crankshaft with a longer stroke to make it a 383 stroker. Now all I need to know is where I can find a crankshaft online. 1993 cavalier 2.2 litre idles eratic. coil pack ohms good, new spark pug wires-good ohms, 140 pounds of compression. it fouls the number one spark plug. i still drive it for work, but it has become a pain to drive. the motor smooths out in the upper rpms. it has 228000 miles. it is a manual trans. i cant afford another vehicle atthis time. i am a decent mechanic, but this problem has me stumped. any help is appreciated. thanks

i have a 2000 s10 extreme and when i got it there was a hose sticking off of the pcv valve and it looked like it was cut.if its supposed to lead somewhere where does it lead to? and also oil comes out of it. if this is not supposed to happen how do i fix it and what do i need?

the block is 10243880 which is a 350 vortech truck engine ZZ4 crate .and the head casting reads 10110810 L094. on the side of the block there is a number 088. on the passanger side of the front of the block a number 6696 is there. can someone give me the specs on this heas, chamber and valve size, compression ratio of the engine and the power and torque the engine makes in stock form

I love my Colbalt. Excellent power (it takes off with only 4 cylenders, to 80 in 15) good interior design-fold down rear seats, tilt, cruise, etc,) but ignition went out, and that burned out CC, and now the ignition key switch on wheel column locks and I have to restart to remove key. Anybody had similar. Buy American!

i bought a door for my 1996 cavalier door. the only problem is that my car is factory paint purple. the door is factory color red. where do i buy the paint to put it on myself. autozone dont carry the color. i have 2 find out the name. so they can order it on line. do i go 2 a chevolet dealer wouldnt they know exactly what color i need. what needs to be done to paint the red door purple.
