You want to take the 700R4 out and put a 5 speed in the car? You need another 3rd generation Camaro that has a standard transmission in it. Then you need to swap the pedal mount, the pedals, trans., bell housing, flywheel, all the hydraulic clutch parts, center console, shifter, possibly the cross member, possibly the drive shaft. You will need to put a pilot bushing in the back of the crank. I might have forgotten something, but that's the jist of it.

why change i have auto in my 89 iroc-z28 and i am always eating up the rear tires and i think autos are just as fast as standard

easiest way is to get another car with a manual and swap it like blazin said.
