I just bought a 2006 BMW 325i with just premium package. There is a red color light under the interior rear view mirror of the car and I didn't know the use for it. After some reading from the manual, found out that it is used for alarm (security system). But when I lock my car (using remote entry) it is not lighting up and flicker as mentioned in the manual.

If it doesn't work I don't know what that red light is doing in the rear view mirror? I did some (re)search but couldn't find any answers. I also sent an e-mail to my car dealer -- of course no answer!

This happen a few times randomly, while stopping on a stop sign or red light, my engine certainly shuts down. it also happen once or twice while doing a slow turn.. This is a 2001 BMW 325i. Thanks for your help in advance...

Recently purchased a 2005 Mini Cooper for resale and I want to remove the huge British flag off of the roof. I got it off of ebay motors and dont know how they are affixed (have'nt picked it up yet.) Is anyone familiar with these things? Are they vinyl overlays, or should I go ahead and get an appointment at the paint shop?

Am I the only one that thinks it's nice? My partner thinks its ugly, most people I speak to think its ugly, on here most said it's ugly!
It sounds weird to think that so many opinions can sway ones thoughts of it.
I have one on order, so ive not seen it properly yet, and now Im not sure about it, can everybody see uglyness in it, that I cant? I usually always go with my choice, but you cant help but think, maybe these people have a point, and its ugly :o)

The LED lights for the computer display and the center console are red and I'm trying to figure out if there is an option to change the color. I've tried the manual with no results, but I see there are tons of options - I'm wondering if there are undocumented settings.

Not to be personal, I would not mind if you wouldnt want to answer the question, but for everybody who owns a bmw, about how much money do you make a year from your job or career, and what is the year and model of the car, bought new or used. thnx.
(ex. $45k a year, 2001 BMW X5, used)
