I am about to buy a 2007 car but confused which one should I really buy. I love both brands. Can anyone give some suggestion which of these 2 cars that I should buy. By the way I am buying on cash payment, no lease or financing. Any suggestions?

If age is an important factor in buying these cars then for that matter I am 37 years old.

You can't compare because what BMW is very good in the Mercedes isn't and what the Mercedes is very good in the BMW isn't.

I may be biased, but I'd take the Bimmer over the Benz any day.
The 3 series is a much better handling car. BMW's strongest point in engineering has always been its steering feel. Dollar for dollar, no one will ever duplicate the precise feel of a BMW's steering system, even in older models. This combined with stiffer suspesion geometry and a lighter chassis is why the BMW will handle better than that slushbox Benz.
If you're looking for a prissy import that will impress the ladies, get the Benz, but be warned, the Benz will be far less reliable, as their reliability ratings have fallen within the past few years.
If you want a car that is fun to drive and carve canyon corners on weekends, get the BMW.
Comparing the two cars in terms of personalities: The BMW is a jock, the Benz is a country club member with a sweater tied around his shoulders. Which one are you?

For 2007 BMW is going with the 328 and 335 for coupes and sedans. So if that is in fact what you are looking for, the 335 will have 300 hp. The outgoing 330 was plenty sufficient with 225 hp. Even the 230 hp 328 is 15 ponies more than the outgoing 215 hp 325. Both are sufficient and are leaders in their class. Add full maintenance to the fold and it's a no-brainer.

BMW's are in a class by themselves. I know many people will talk like there is nothing better than a Mercedes, but lets be serious now. We all know that Mercedes has been tainted since the purchase of Chrysler. We also know that BMW's are know for many things to include safety, longevity, performance and free maintenance for a couple years. Go with the Beemer dude.

I would definitely go with the BMW over the Mbz because it has superior handling, better styling, and better reliability.Plus BMW just redesinged the 3-series in 06. It now has a more powerful engine, and more control than the previous 3-series. The 330i has a 255hp engine, and the 325i has 215hp. Both run on in-line 6cyl engines.

I looked at a new C Class and felt it was overpriced and didn't match amenity for amenity with its rivals. With the C Class, you pay to own a Benz and I wouldn't even consider purchasing a C Class other than for bragging rights and to show off the logo. E Class and S Class, different story. I'd go with the BMW over the C Class every day of the week.

Both have their plusses and minuses, if i were you i would test drive both cars and see with one feels better. This will include the interior, acceleration, smoothness of the ride etc. It all comes down to personal preference. I personally am a BMW enthusiast, so i would recommend the BMW, but pick the one that feels better for you.

How about a new 328 or 335 coupe? Just came out and look ten-fold better than the new e90 sedan. Bigger engine, more interior amenities, but four free years of BMW Assist.
Check out the new coupes mate!
(of course BMW would be your choice over MB)

Well I would definetly prefer the BMW over the Benz, Because it has a fresher look, its drives sportier, and have more sex appeal. Unless you are a 65 y.o. man that want a plush, luxury sedan with less exitement, go for the Benz. If you want the thrills of driving sex, Get the BMW.

It really depends on what level of C Class you're thinking of getting. If you are talking C55 AMG then it's the Benz all the way because of the pure power and performance! Any other C Class I would choose the BMW.
