Have you sold a car there? Or do you know someone who has?
What about the Autotrader and others that have a magazine and website?

I have 2 scenarios to work with: trade my SUV now (it's paid off so I have no payment, I might get $1K out of it in trade, or $4K if I sell it myself) and get a more 'green' friendly car that gets better mileage; or drive this SUV until it dies, meanwhile saving up $$$ to put a good down payment on a new car, at which time I'll hopefully be making enough money to afford a car payment. There's nothing wrong with this truck, but it's got over 100K mi on it so the clock is ticking (it's a Ford, so you know...)

Today I went to a new/used dealership to look at an '03 car that I wanted. When I got there, though, someone bought it, and it was the only one. The manager came out and said no problem, we can get you one just like it in a week. So I basically ordered an '04, gave them color choices, price cap and mileage cap and a $500 deposit, & signed a P&S with those contingencies in it. I did not think that you could just walk into a dealership and just "order" a used car. Do most dealerships do this??

I will be making 100+ miles each day on weekdays. While gas economy is important, security and at least a 4 door is a preferable since I've been driving a 2-door for a period of time now and we've had to rent cars when going camping, etc. I am thinking also to perhaps sell the car after a year as I'll have the chance to move closer to my destination, so I'm concerned about how much value of the car I can keep over the year despite the mileage.

Thank you for all the answers/recommendations.

I bought a car in august 2006 with no money down. I would like to trade in this car for a cheaper car and lower payments. How do I go about doing that? I still owe on my car.

I'm looking to buy a decent used car in the Southern Illinois area. My husband and I are not looking to spend alot of money as we cannot afford a large monthly payment. Likewise, we have practically nothing saved back for a down payment. Does anyone have any ideas?

If you're a Saab owner/lover, I'd love to hear your opinion on whether GM has done justice by the Swedish carmaker.

I'm in the works of getting a fully loaded 2W 2007 Chevy Tahoe. I've looked at websites, but I want to ask public opinion. Is this a good SUV or is there something better within this typical price range?
