If you're a Saab owner/lover, I'd love to hear your opinion on whether GM has done justice by the Swedish carmaker.

Saab's have always been weird [in a good way]and a interesting car to work on. once you realize Saab is a aircraft manufacture their designs and procedures make sense, they weren't bad to work on just different. now that g.m. has the auto side of the company, fitment of the corporate "Opel" v-6 is a labor intensive disaster and early ones have broken the timing belts as the new car carriers offload them at the dealerships [valve bending engine]i fear that nothing good will happen to or for Saab with G.M. at or near the controls.[no wonder the Opel engine was dumped at Saturn in favor of the Honda Odyssey v-6 with no honda markings any where] the cars themselves with the Saab engine are still good and yes i do remember mixing fuel for Saabs

the fast answer isn't any. today GM owned 50% of Saab and that motor vehicle changed into in preserving with a GM platform, the interior also has some GM impact. the sturdy information is that your engine is a real Saab engine(and many different significant mechanical parts are too) or perhaps with the very incontrovertible certainty that its a GM Saab, it continues to be a sturdy motor vehicle. The 9-5 interior the overdue ninety's changed into some distance more effective GM than your motor vehicle because it changed into designed in Detroit, no longer Sweden and the first gen 9-3 is a modernised version of your motor vehicle, yet with a GM engine. i'd assume the motor vehicle to very last quiet somewhat longer, provided that it is been regarded after.
