What pitfalls could you point out that you wish someone had told you before you did it?
Ive lived on a boat on the continent but never in UK so I understand a fair bit already but not local to here.

My father has a C&C-29 sailboat with a Yanmar inboard diesel engine. Last summer the prop shaft was damaged due to a collision and has since been replaced, but there's still a horrible vibration. He thinks the strut might also be damaged but is unable to get a new part or the proper measurements and angles to have one made. Can anyone out there help with this issue?

When traveling back from a fishing trip carrying my boat on it's trailer, the trailer's tires locked up. What a hassel. I had to find a Marina nearby and rent a slip for my boat!! If you can help to let me know what caused the tires on the trailer to lock up. Thank you. Rosemaw

Doesn't have a trailer, motor, steering, seats, etc. Asfar as we know has never been on the water. Got boat from a Dr. who had bought for his children to play with in back yard years ago.

I have a bayliner 2152 with a ford 351w engine. When I try to start it, it makes a loud click nose and sometimes spins a little. I thought it might be the battery so I replaced it but still it's a no go. No matter what the boat won't start. When I turn the key it tryies to but just can't turn over. What could it be? When I hook up my trailer to my car and turn on the turn signals, the lights are very dim, and go very fast. Both on car, and trailer. I was wondering if it was a ground problem, but I'm not sure. The brakes and lights work fine, just the turn signals.

I have an Evinrude 9.9 HP outboard - long leg - salt water used, fresh water rinsed after every use. Can't tell the year of the make - between 1974 - 1979. Impeccible condition. What would you offer to pay for this???? I just want to know a value.

we didnt use our boat last year and we finally got it out this year.. when my guy tested the engine a warning horn started going.. he shut the motor off and tried it again and it went off again.. anyone tell me what this is? My guy wont call to ask anyone because he says that they will just tell him that they have to look at it... they all want the money.
