I want to buy a boat with a 9'-6" beam. Do I need a permit to pull it down the hwy ? If so what are the restrictions? Class A Lic? Or just buy a permit? Or hours of transport?

The head was rebult before I knew where the leak was, should I sell the motor for parts or put block sealer in it? If the sealer dosn't work then I'am wasting the rebuild cost on the head. Obviously I'am on a tight budget. The motor is an inline 4(ford 460 cut in half)175hp. This is a closed system with radiator. Put a chevy 305 in it?, will need modifications though.

volvo penta outdrive pivot housing is cruddy looking, so i'm going to have it blasted and re-coated... i was wondering if powder coating would be better than having it painted like it came from the factory... i've had a couple of people say to have it painted rather than powder coated but i don't know why...

I am thinking about buying a 55 ft yacht and I am wondering how frequently I need to clean or paint the bottom of the boat. It's usually on a floating dock but the dock took on water and the jet ski sat in the water for about a week with the rear end sitting in the water. Now it's got some kind of deposit on it and would like to clean it off.

I am a 5'3" very slight woman who enjoys rowing. I would like to purchase a small craft to row. It can haul it in my father's truck or Cherokee; however, I need to be able to lift it out of the back and place it in the river about 50 feet away. Do you know of a lightweight boat that could be used in this manner? (I have back pain from stiff muscles, so while working out will help, it really needs to be light when I have to pick it up.) Thanks a bunch!
