It's usually on a floating dock but the dock took on water and the jet ski sat in the water for about a week with the rear end sitting in the water. Now it's got some kind of deposit on it and would like to clean it off.

muriatic acid is what you use to get the stain off, better wear rubber gloves. As soon as you remove the stain, you must wash and wax the jet ski. The acid opens up the pores on the gel coat. If you did not wash it and wax it the very next time it sees the water the stain will be much worse.

Use FSR - Available at your marine supply store. It is oxalic acid cleaner in a gel form. It has been the best water stain remover I have found.
