And how much would this add up to if you totalled the usage of each and every flight that leaves the ground per day in one country, such as the U.S.?

You only need good qualifications if you are to get an ATP right, if you were to get a private lisence u dont need good qualifiications right and by qualifications i mean like A-levels.. because i've been reading and they say i need Maths and Physics in A level.... so if i were a pilot flying for BA for example... would they be looking for those 2 subjects and more... what if i just want a private license... i dont need Maths and Physics for that do i?

Well it makes the A380 a thing of the past doesnt it.Many questions need answering first, will the 797 ever fly in a commercial capacity.and when, will it be viable with 1,000 passengers. Will the engines be Pratt Whitney or GE....go for it Boeing. But if it all fails will make a wonderful Airfirce 1 for George W to hiccup his way around theWorld.

I once read a book about pilot's work, and there was written that an airline pilot can live and work from any part of the world, is this true?
I suppose it's that you can live anywhere where your company flies to?

Maybe here are some pilots or other people who can tell how it works?

Thanks!

Sounds like we're asking for trouble. But I think the NATO phonetic alphabet came before the callsign.

I met someone who said they need to save up $2000 just for their BTA to come to the United States from Nigeria, is this for real or can that fee be waived or lessened. They are not coming here on business, it is a permanant personal move. They are planning on immigrating here and becoming a permanent US citizen. Any information that I can obtain on this subject would be greatly appreciated.

I see little triangular indentations on aircraft, often near the undercarriage. Does this mean that air can be directed to a turbine inside the aircraft if necessary? On this Wikipedia page (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ram_air_turbine), I see that it is external.

I'm 14, female, and a homeschooled freshman. I live in Tennessee, but am soon moving to North Carolina. Can I start getting my license? I do not have any idea where to go from here. I have so many questions, and not even close to enough space here. Any websites or books that are awesome sorces to start learning from? I don't even know what to ask. All I know is that I want to fly, and my mom say that you can get your pilot's license before you can drive. So, where do I start? I want to be whatever kind of pilot I can be now (solo, private), and then once I am old enough I can go from here. Please give me any information you can. I really, really want to fly, and I am willing to work very hard for it.
