My friends see me as being wise and all knowing. Well, believe it or not I don't know everything. Here is the situation.

A friend of my friend was driving their car. She hits something and leaves the scene. She has insurance, but she wasn't driving her car. My friend who's car she was in this accident with also has insurance but he wasn't driving the car.

She wants to do the right thing. She wants to fix this. What would be the best way to go about getting this solved? I'm not sure what tell to him but I really don't want him waiting around to long. It's already been about 2 hours since the accident.

Could anyone tell me what is an ideal model of car ('90-'96)for the diy mechanic.I run cars that are at the end of their lives which usually gives me a couple of years cheap motoring, but I am finding it increasingly difficult to work on "modern " cars without specialist tools.

we hired a car4 2 days we took great care of it parkin away from cars we know people hit your car doors but to our horror we noticed a scratch on door. the hire company said that if we took out £30 extra the excess would be £100 but if we didnt it would be £600 (he told us just as we were gettin in car + i dont know about excess but i think it was was if we wrecked the car we;d have to pay £600

im making myself ill thinkin about returnin car, they took at £200 security deposit but obviously were worried he will see the small scratch mark he did a quick check on the car and there was already a scratch on the car that we couldnt see (so were thinkin if he seen that he'll definately see this 1 (were not sure but wer sure the new scratch wasnt the one he was talking about. its to go back 2moro, we went to halfrods and got this cream stuff and polished it, it helped a wee bit but its still noticable its not fair that this person who scratched it caused this. i cant afford £600.?? please

I'm having a hard time making right turns. The power steering fluid is full. The dust boots on the lower ball joints on both sides is cracked. Should I attempt to replace the ball joints myself or just take it to the shop? What would be the average price for all four ball joints to be replaced? Thanks!

watch that.
The Iranians are so proud of that thing, I bet they think it will make them feared by the world. Too bad it's slower than a cessna 172.
Did you hear that guy talk about superior manuvering, yea right. If that thing has good manuverability with that big propeller strapped on to the back, what are we doing building streamlined fighters with thrust vectoring jet engines?

I'm going to buy the first car ever. Since my budget is tight and I'm not a fancy person, I guess a second-har car is fine for me. I envisage that this car should last for at least two years, before I buy another one.

Looking at the dealers' websites, I saw that there are too many to choose. There is even a car offered at £300.

In your experience, what should be the minimum price of a car that can guarantee to last 2 years?
