I am a new car owner and have some questions regarding parking.

1) If the wheels are not streight when the car is parked, does it affect the wheel alignment?
2) If the car is parked such that the left and right sides of the car are not at the same level (slanted) does it do any harm?

Everytime I drive I can't help notice cars with dealership logos on them. It kind of bothers me because I think what gives a dealer the right to do that. When I bought my cars (brand new) from the dealer - I specifically stated "I don't want the 'Sloan Honda' advertisement on my car." The salesman looked a little disturbed by it. I said, "I'm sorry. You guys are not paying me to advertise for you. I will NOT buy a car stamped with your company's name on it!" In the sales agreement I even wrote that out and really big.

What gives them the right to this? Does anyone else see it my way too?

I recently had my car damaged in one of our Texas storms. It caused about $4000 in damage to the entire left side, hood, and both bumpers, and knocked out two windows. I just got my car back from the "insurance suggested" body shop and I can still see where many of the rock marks were painted over. There are divets in the paint in a lot of spots, which is better than the metal that was showing before, but not how I want it. My question is, shouldn't they have completely sanded down the areas of the car that needed to be repainted instead of just painting over the paint nicks? The car is a 2006 Mustang that is practically brand new. Maybe I am wrong, but shouldn't the insurance company be fixing the car to the PERFECT condition it was in before it was damaged?

Shortly after I bought my long-saved-for first car (a Renault Clio 3 door) last summer, someone hit it while it was parked in a car park and cracked one of the plastic panels of the bodywork. It is the side segment on the driver's side, between the door and the bumber - I think that is called the wing?
I would like to repair it, but can't afford to take it to a garage (as it is just cosmetic damage.)
If I could track down a spare, would I be able to replace it myself? I have no mechanical knowledge, but don't mind getting my hands dirty!
How much would a spare cost, and how would I go about fitting it?
Any advice appreciated, thanks!

I just bought my first brand new car, and two hours later got rear ended! Can you believe it? It took so much time and effort for me to finally commit to the new huge payments and now it has been in an accident! WTF. Okay, so it could be worse but how do I know if it will ever be the same? Can they tell if the frame is cracked or bent? I need it to be back to 100%. It looks like the bumper just needs to be replaced but I got hit pretty hard. BTW it is a 07 Civic coupe. Help me ease my pissiness.

Alright, Im in the market for a newer used car, BUT heres the catch, I want a car that is reliable and long lasting, you know a car that will be around after 70k given you drive it "normal" and proper maitenince. But anyway i want a car that is economical, YET fun to drive and fairly quick. Which would you prefer?

I have just recently moved and am now doing a long motorway commute to work everyday, after a couple of months my oil tank is empty, I think i am going through about a litre a month. I don't think I have a leak. Can anyone tell me if this is normal for a smart car doing higher mileage? Or should I be visiting my local garage.... thanks!

The suzuki 3 cyl. was getting 40+ mpg depending on the model and accesories. Now that gas prices are going up why aren't the auto companies bringing the 3 cyl. back. The Geo Metro was very popular. I've seen commercials for 41 mpg city for the toyota and honda's but now they're priced as a hybrid. My 78 Ford Courier gets 30 mpg. I also see the larger vehicles now rated at 25 to 30 mpg. What the heck is going on with auto industry and mpg that we could have had years ago? And have had some pretty good ones in the past.
