does the IRS afterwards determine which sales were wash sales and which were not?

I'm confused since the schedule doesn't have any place for indicating which are wash sales>

Thanks in advance.

I know absoloutly nothing. I was never taught anything about taxes by my parents. Now I'm on my own, living with my husband, a military man, and I'm applying to a community college in my area. I don't know what a W-4 form is or any other letter/number acronyms. I've had a few jobs and when I've been asked to fill out a W-2 form (i think) I always told my boss that I'd bring it back the next day and never did. Where can I learn about taxes, what they are, how I file them, etc. I want to be financially secure and I'm starting a job soon. I want to make sure that my paperwork is always organized and so on. PLEASE HELP ME!

I'm a single 23 year old female with no dependents (unless there's a way to get creative). I make barely over $29,000 a year before taxes. Between state (CA), federal, and social security, I'm getting hit with about $500 in taxes per paycheck. It's insane! I pay about $289 to the fed, $60 to the state, and almost $150 in soc sec. That turns a $2447 monthly check into $1797 (the extra is benefits and such). I haven't claimed any allowances of any kind, as I just can't think of any that apply to me. I've got no assets and a whole bunch of credit card debt I could be paying off with that money.

Anyone got any ideas?

What happens if I chose not to pay into the Social Security fund? I realize I won't get any benefits, but I can deal with that part. Are there any legal consequences such as a fine or jail time? I realize that one's employer automatically takes the money out of your paycheck, but assuming that can be circumvented, does anyone have any information about this?

While playing a round of golf he writes on the back of his golf shirt "To: Bank of Mine, account #4312, Pay to the order of The IRS" and fills in a dollar amount. He signs it by dipping his hand into the mud around the waterhole on the 15th green and making a muddy hand print as his mark at the bottom of the shirt. When he finishes playing the 18th hole, he takes off his shirt and mails it along with his tax return to the IRS.

Is the shirt a negotiable instrument? Why or why not?
