I am 21 and i'm a full time student, and I had a summer job last year. I don't really know what I need to file a tax return... If my parents are gonna include me as a dependent on their tax return this year, will I need to file a tax return? What are the benefits of doing it? I am currently not in the US, will that be a problem? Thanks!!

I know it is something that you use to see if you qualify for some kind of tax credit for college. Should I just take it with me when I go to get my taxes done? Has anyone had any experience with this thing?

I'm guessing it's a big "no" but I think the rich people can deduct all sorts of interest paid, and though credit cards are hardly an investment, Lord knows my (way too high)% on $(waytoomuch) is the only interest I have to work with!

I was wondering, can I count someone as a dependent if they lived in my house all year and I provided 90% of the money they needed to live? They are not related to me but I did provide money for most of the things they needed.

My husband and I moved in May for better job opportunities for him. He began working in our new location in early June, so he has only worked about 28 weeks total here. According to everything I have found regarding the moving deduction, he has to work in the new area for 39 weeks of the last 12 months since the move. We haven't been here a year yet, so I was wondering if we could qualify for this deduction if we file in the beginning of February. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

The IRS has a "Hobby Rule" make money 3 out of 5 years.
What happens if you lose money 4 of 5 years? or lose 5 of 5 years. If you own a yacht charter fishing business, that is one thing but what about a startup company like Mortgage that is not fun!
