No employment for 2006 -- what now?

I did not work in 2006 but did collect unemployment do I still need to file taxes?

That depends on whether your total income was over the limit where you are required to file. Unemployment comp would not usually have been that much, so very likely not unless you had other income.

Yes.. you won't owe any taxes of course but you do still need to file with the IRS.
