My father inherited me a piece of land in Nicaragua. I want to sell it and I am planning to wire the money from the sale directly to my bank account in the US. It is about $100k. Do I have to report this money to the IRS? Do I have to pay any taxes on that money?

Thank You,

I have a 3 BR house which is currently let out.I wish to purchase another 3 BR house in liverpool area.I intend to live here for 3-4 years and then sell both properties.
I am told I may have to pay tax on the first property if I am not staying in it at the time of selling.
Is there any way out of it,or how long do I need to stay in it for me to avoid paying tax/minimise it ,or can my wife and kids stay there for a while just before selling it

If I take out 100K from my 401K to use as a down payment for my primary home purchase, how much tax do I have to pay. Some say only 10% because it is a 'hardship' distribution. Its this true?

Or is this 100K distribution going to add to my anual gross salary and then the new tax bracket applies to it in addition to the 10%?

I do not have the money to hire a lawyer to help me, or the money to pay the taxes. My business can not get credit to operate, and I am losing money. I need the tax lien released before I go under.
I have talked to the IRS, put they only send me publications I do not understand.

My landlord does not want to give me his social security number. Should I contact the IRS to get help on this issue.
I pay over $2000 a month for rent and would like to report it to the IRS. My landlord is a major AO, who is getting rich, I do not think he reports all his income.

I'm an independent contractor who receives a 1099-MISC for non-employment compensation. I know that my total income for the year will be $24,000 because I get paid the same thing every month regardless of how much or little work I do. I am married, but separated and have lived in our apartment with our son since April and will continue to do so all year, so I can file Head of Household. My son is under 18 and I pay for the majority of his care. I tried to plug my numbers into an online tax site, deductions (standard), credits (I should qualify for EIC and Child Tax) - and it tells me that I hypothetically owe something in the ballpark of $8,000. My expenses are only in the ballpark of about $1500 a year. That can't be right. I can't owe $8000 to the federal and state government on only $24,000 worth of income. I know it's non-employment compensation, but come on - I have no other income. Is this right? Is there another way to figure this stuff up?
