ok so i actually do make minimum wage (actually 5.25, I'm a kid ) so does that mean im getting a raise and when will that kick in? thnx

It went to $5.85 effective 7/24, so you should see a raise in your next paycheck for any hours worked that day or later.

You will receive it for all wages that were earned after last Tuesday, so for hours you worked before it went into effect you will receive the old rate, unless for some reason your employer just changes it across the board. Also as one other person said, the minimum wage is a national minimum there are about a dozen states with numbers higher.

yes, but some states minimum wage is actually higher than the federal minimum wage.

FEDERAL minimum wage is now $5.85/hour as of July 24, 2007.

I'm not sure when minimum wage goes up (it doesnt really apply here cuz state minimum is 7.25) but yes when it goes up so will your wage.

u should b at 6.25$ right now not 5.25$ that raise took effect already n by 2010 it goes up to 7.50$ if u havent gotten that already u need to contact workforce development in ur area n ask them why not? its the law they have to pay u that n if they arent then u can get them fined n all that back pay increased
