Me and a buddy of mine are considering opening an Arcade type place with laser tag and/or paintball. I don't know how popular either are currently, but I believe put in the right place and done correctly could put up some interesting money figures.

Truth is, the closest place like this to us is in Winsconsin, or they are small, cheesy ones. There aren't many arcade type places here in the Chicago and Chicagoland area, however, and the location we have in mind is only 20 minutes from the loop (downtown) and pretty much centered around the most populated suburbs (Summit, Maywood, Broadview, Riverside, Berwyn) .

In theory it could be cool, but what are some opinions of some of you people out there as fans of the games and entrepunures and investors.

I do hiring for a general contractor. We pay decent, especially for people who are just starting out and have absolutely no experience. But, in the last 4 months I've had 5 guys walk off the job complaining that the work was just too hard. Is it the younger generation? I'm really baffled by this.

I am opening an store that, as a part of its service, makes and sells ice cream with add-in or mix-ins, whichever you call it. I understand the stones (granite or marble) are frozen from below by condensers, or freezing mechanisms. Does anyone know where I can find one? Who manufactures them? I have having a hard time finding them and my equipment dealer doesn't seem to know, either. Any help would be great. Thanks.

I'm 40 y.o., have extensive sales and mktg background, am pretty creative, sometimes too detail-oriented and decent at engineering and building things. I live in an area with a strong tourism industry and am sick of working for the man. No wife and kids, so couldn't hurt to do my own thing. Any ideas appreciated!

Not too long ago, one of the members of our LLC was let go because of negligence of work. Due to some problems, we are unable to let him go fully. He has been discharged of the daily ongoing business of our organization and is mainly a "silent partner." Our lawyer has advised us to switch from dividend reinbursements to payroll reinbursements and reinvest profits back into the business. This is to prevent the fired owner from getting anything. Is there a limit (or law that states) to how high LLC members can set their own salary (wages)? Is there any backlash to expect from the fired member because of increased wages for the majority owners?
