If an authorized distributor has been sent a letter saying that due to 'trademark infringement' the company is refusing to do business with them...can that company legally just stop doing business with their distributor even if the distributor is in the right on the trademark issue? It feels like extortion.

In Chicago, me and my hubby will be selling novelty items at carnivals (puerto rican parade, mexican parade, etc.) We will carry items such as flags, key chains, shirts, CD's, water, etc. Just misc items that people would want at a carnival. Any ideas on what the name should be? My first name starts with a P and his starts with an E. We were thinking E & P's .........?? We're not sure of the rest. Thanks a lot!

I am looking for a website where sellers can advertise for free or really cheap. Kind of like classified ads but free and sellers can write more and customers have some communication. I know it sounds specific lots of websites are similair but none exact.

I just started about last year. I sell on Ebay and to friends/family for right now. I would like to expand my line and sell to more places-such as retail chains/stores. I would like to get the word of my jewelry "out there." How do I begin to get the word out and try to sell to larger stores-and then there are some that get regonized in big magazines like Style or Glamour-I would love to be one of those people !:) ....So where do I begin to "break into the business?"

Thinking of buying this business. Know it will be time consuming but wonder if anything else I should be aware of? Never have owned a business before . . it does need some marketing done and a mall is being built across the street that might help. Appreciate any advice.

I have a great product idea, It's original and a potential money maker. How do I manufacture, protect, sell?

Without giving it away here is what I'm looking at based on guestimation.

It would sell in hardware stores or possibly even major department stores. It would probably cost about $10 to manufacture per unit (not sure of this amt). It would be an add on to an existing product.

I know I could pitch it to a major corporation locally (ex: Talk to a rep at Lowe's, Home Depot, and/or Walmart) but I need to know how to properly protect myself and get a manufacturer to create my idea.
