I live in the state of Wisconsin, I have a private officer license. I was wondering what the legal ramifications would be if I were to want to open my own bouncer / security guard business. What kind of business license would I need.

your State's site at http://www.dor.state.wi.us/ and see what they say, or you can go to http://www.businesslicenses.com/Licenses/WI/Adams/Adams-5500100275/ and put in your address and it will give you a list of licenses for your location.
