I went to Quiznos for lunch yesterday. I had a buy a combo get a free sub of equal or lesser value coupon. When I checked my receipt I found that I did not get the "combo" price. I was charged individually for the soda, cookie and subs.
The 2nd sub was deducted. When I asked why this was this way I was told the register does not "double dip" so it gave the sub price off but not the difference for the combo. This amounts to like 50 cents, but if this is done to everyone buying for the day that is a lot of quarters at the end of the day in their pocket instead of the publics.
Just curious about others. I always check all my receipts - typically before leaving the store. I have found sale items at a grocery store not ringing up correctly so get the difference before even leaving that way.
